FANTASY
The premiere recording of the Inventions Trio (with Marvin Stamm, trumpet & flugelhorn & Alisa Horn, cello) features Mays' 3-movement "Suite for Trumpet, Piano and Cello" in a fascinating "classical meets jazz" adventure. Rounding out the program are Mays' unique arrangements of themes by Bach, Borodin, Debussy, Gershwin, Rachmaninoff and Scriabin.
